Shabbat Host Application
We're rolling out a whole new Shabbat model for second semester and we want you to help us make it great! Here's the deal -- every month we'll have two "home style" Shabbat dinners (1st & 3rd Friday of the month) and two community Shabbat dinners (2nd & 4th Friday of the month).
For a home style Shabbat, hosts (this could be you!) will welcome people into their homes for dinner. Highlights of the experience include:
– You fill half the table, and we'll send the other half to you. #NewFriends
– A killer training opportunity with your hosting cohort, Rabbi Dan & Emily
– You can choose to be reimbursed up to $10/person you have at dinner.
– Warm, meaningful, lasting Shabbat memories
*We do ask that you commit to hosting at least two times*
If you're interested, sign up here. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns – we are committed to making this as smooth and easy as possible, so we're here to help!
Check all the dates you are available to host.
(Note: Checking the box does not mean you are set to host, but will help us create a cohesive schedule for the semester. We will tell you when you're scheduled to host by the end of break.)
How many people could you host? (Half can be invited by you, half will be "pop-up" seats from Hillel)
What dietary restrictions (if any) can you accommodate?
What is your address/room number?
Would you be open to having a co-host? (Some people are willing to help host but do not have space to do so in their own homes. They would be paired with you to help prepare for dinner and retreive guests from Hillel before dinner.)
Yes, I'd love the help.
I already have one in mind, no need to assign me one.
Our training session will be Thursday, January 26 at 8:30pm.
I'll be there - I already marked my calendar.
I definitely can't make it.
